Springton Hills Wineries Vineyard is interspersed with outcrops of metamorphic rock. One of these outcrops forms a ridge where our premium Shiraz grows hence the name Rock Ridge.
The grapes were hand picked in mid autumn, then crushed, fermented, basket pressed then aged for 24 months in Oak barrels. This Shiraz exhibits hints of Eucalypt, Blackberry, Pepper and Chocolate. This full bodied wine drinks well now and will continue to improve with age.
